What the app stores
The surveys you create (site details, plans, areas, answers, photos, voice notes and write ups) and your settings (company name, logo, colour and contact details) are saved on your device.
Syncing between devices
If you create an account and sign in, this information is also stored in a cloud database run by Google Firebase, located in London (europe-west2), so it can appear on your other devices. Only your signed in account can read it. Your email address and password are handled by Firebase Authentication; we never see your password.
Location, camera and microphone
The app uses your location only when you ask it to record a site's position, the camera and photo library only when you add photos, and the microphone only while you record a voice note. Full size photo originals you take in the app are saved to your own photo library.
Voice note transcription
Transcription uses your device's own speech recognition. On supported devices this happens on the device; otherwise your device's provider may process the audio under its own terms.
RAAC Report Pro
If you apply for Pro we keep what you tell us (name, firm, phone, professional body, membership number and experience) to check your application, and a record of your subscription or code. Card payments are taken by Stripe; we never see your card details. We use Stripe's records for invoices and VAT.
Sharing
Nothing is shared with anyone unless you choose to share it, for example by sending a report or a job file.
Deleting your data
You can delete any survey in the app. To close your account and remove its synced data, email us.
